Reading Strategy: Monitor Understanding
Writing: Personal Narrative Writing
Math: Time, Money, & Temperature
Math homework will be determined by your child's Math teacher.

Spelling: Long i Spelling Words
Homework
Monday - 3x Each
Tuesday - 3x Each
Wednesday - Write Each Word in a Complete Sentence
Thursday - Study

If your student forgets to bring home a worksheet, he/she can write his/her spelling words 3x each.

Dinner Table Conversations (Some Questions to Ask After Each Day)
Monday:
1. What does it mean when you "monitor understanding?" (Your checking to make sure you understand what you are reading.)
2. What do you need to do if you don't understand what you read? (Reread)
3. What did you learn from the "active ignoring" activity at the end of the day?

Tuesday:
1. What did Mrs. Pritchard teach you today?
2. What are some different ways to read to a partner? (Check for Understanding; I Read, You Read; Read 2 Different Books)
3. Which is your favorite?

Wednesday:
1. Who was your partner today during read to someone?
2. Do you think he/she was a good partner? Why or why not?

Thursday:
1. How do you think you did on the ACUITY test?
2. What books did you check out at the library?

Friday:
1. What was your favorite part of the Mustang Stampede?
